Mechanic’s Lien & Theft of Services Notice

Georgia O.C.G.A. §§ 40-11 & 16-8-5
Vinny Diesel Repair

By submitting a repair request or dropping off a vehicle, the customer (“Owner”) authorizes Vinny Diesel Repair (“Shop”) to perform diagnostics and repairs.

The Owner understands and agrees that the Shop holds a mechanic’s lien on the vehicle for all charges incurred, including diagnostics, labor, parts, storage, and related fees, and may retain possession of the vehicle until payment is made in full.

Vehicles not picked up within 48 hours after repair completion or repair decline will begin accruing storage fees of $55 per day starting on day 3, including weekends and holidays.

Vehicles left 7 days or more without payment or communication may be processed as abandoned, and the Shop may file a mechanic’s lien and pursue foreclosure, sale, or disposal in accordance with Georgia law.

Unauthorized Vehicle Removal

Any removal or attempted removal of a vehicle without payment and without Shop authorization may constitute Theft of Services under Georgia law (O.C.G.A. § 16-8-5) and may be reported to law enforcement, in addition to civil recovery actions.

If unauthorized removal occurs:

All outstanding balances become immediately due, and

A $500 administrative recovery and filing fee will be added, in addition to storage, legal, and recovery costs.
